2008 Cabernet Sauvignon
The 2008 Cabernet Sauvignon is very expressive with notes of perfume, floral, spice, mineral and blackberry that are layered beautifully together. The dry and cold spring induced small yields with small berry size and light clusters which created some amazingly concentrated wines. The very mild summer helped develop complex aromatics as well. The nose reveals intense yet refined flavors of polished flowers (violet and rose petals), cranberry and black licorice. This beautiful complex and aromatic mix is complimented by a seductive mouthfeel with loads of black fruits, fresh stones and spices seamlessly integrated with layers of expressive, refined tannins and a long, lingering finish.
For optimum enjoyment of this wine, please decant and serve at about 64 ºF.

2008 Proprietary Red Wine
From the estate, the very low yield of 2008 helped produce this remarkable, concentrated and sophisticated wine. Making wines since 2005, this site continues to amaze my palate by its finesse, purity of flavor, depth and European style. The powerful nose of rose petal, violet, sweet cherry, scorched earth and spices is extremely inviting. The mouthfeel is muscular and concentrated with layers of polished and fresh flavors of black and red cherry, black currant, forest scents, and chocolate finishing with refined tannins. This complex wine is beautiful now and will continue to engage & evolve.

2007 Cabernet Sauvignon
From this benchmark harvest in the Napa Valley, the Roy Estate 2007 Cabernet Sauvignon delivers on many different levels. This seductive wine reveals beautiful aromatics of black fruits, black currant, licorice, dark chocolate and integrated French vanilla oak; well structured with great length of sweet and silky tannins melting into your palate. The lingering finish (over 30 seconds) exhibits complex flavors of rich delicate fruits and warm gravelly earth. Truly a special estate vineyard.

2007 Proprietary Red Wine
From this exceptional vintage, the merlots of late September and cabernets the third week of October were picked under perfect conditions. Rich and layered, the wine is made distinctive by its aromatic complexity of rich and ripe red berries, spicy vanilla, black cherry and tobacco, followed by hints of black tea and mineral notes;? the mouth-feel is refined and sophisticated with tremendous length. Complex and harmonious, this amazing wine enthralls the palate with a seamless core of fruit and integrated tannins. Full-bodied elegance at its best, the Roy Estate Prop Red 2007 exudes a perfect balance of sweet tannins, vibrant acidity and a low level of alcohol.

2006 Cabernet Sauvignon
Another home run from Roy Estate, and it is even a notch above its predecessor. When
you uncork the wine, the room fills with aromas of dried herbs, bay leaf, wet earth,
blueberry, violet and chocolate. This 93% Cabernet Sauvignon and 7% Petit Verdot
blend delivers a mouth feel that is soft and delicate with a velvety texture combined with
incredible integrated tannins. Freshness, light on its feet for a big wine, and seductive with
a soft finish that goes on and on, are thoughts that come to my mind.

2004 Cabernet Sauvignon - First Release
Full of life and energy, the wine is intense; it expresses ripe flavors of black currant, Asian spices, earthy characters, mocha and ripe cherry. Lush and rich in the attack, the wine carries on with amazing purity and depth finishing with powerful soft tannins and aromas of white chocolate and licorice. The wine changes constantly in the glass bringing more nuances and excitement each time. This is a superb expression of great Cabernet from Soda Canyon just south of Stags Leap District in Napa Valley.

Seductive, powerful and approachable, the wine reveals loads of diverse aromas of loamy soils, sweet earthy characters, red cherry and black tea. In the mouth, it is full-bodied, dense with good delineation finishing with good acidity, black currant aromas and well-integrated oak tannins. The wine reflects the perfect harmony of freshness, ripe flavors and depth.
